A couple of weeks ago I wrote a post about everything you should know about Boom Cards but I feel we need an extra one just about sharing Boom Cards games with our students. I receive lots of questions similar to “Will my students also need to have a Boom Card account? Can they access it simply using the link?” I told you how marvelous the Boom Learning platform is and how I use Boom Cards games in my classroom and especially how useful Boom Cards are for distance learning. So here it goes!! Can students enjoy Boom Cards without creating an account? YES, THEY CAN! For this option we have to bear in mind the term Fast Pin. This allows your students  quick access to the cards where they don’t have to log-in.  This is the faster way, but teachers won’t be able to track the students’ performance using the cards. So, if you just need to share the Boom Cards game, just keep reading!

1st Step: Get your Boom Cards!

Here you have a free pack to try the Boom Learning platform, but you can get lots of Boom Cards about everything in Teachers Pay Teachers or directly in the Boom Learning Market! In Teachers Pay Teachers you download a PDF and click on the link!

2nd Step: Go to your library!

All Boom Card games you buy will be in your Boom Learning account library forever! Locate the deck (game) you want your students to complete. You can use the search bar to search for a deck by name if you don’t find it. Then click the blue action button and a dropdown menu will appear.

3rd Step: Create a Fast Pin!

In the menu, choose Fast Pin to generate a custom URL that you can give to students (via e-mail, Google Classroom, Seesaw, etc). Fast pins expire in 14 days for premium accounts and in 5 days for free accounts, so if you want them to play the same game over and over, just share the Fast Pin with them again!
